Hello!!    I want to take this introduction moment to explain who I am, my background and who I would like to offer on my website.

 

I’m Maria Breitbach, I initially grew up in Minnesota, and then moved to Indiana about 10 years ago.  I teach at the Indiana School for the Deaf.   I have a B.S. in Elementary Education,  M.Ed in Special Education – Deaf Education and a M.S. in Educational Leadership.  I have about 17 years of teaching experience in a variety of age groups: Deaf Education in the Elementary level, American Sign Language in the High school level, and English Language Arts in the Middle school.

 

The resources I will present, I’m hoping will fit a variety of classrooms. For example,

Instructional videos in ASL for classroom teachers who have Deaf students, reading element and skills to support retention.  For Teachers of the Deaf, to support families and students with expanding their sign vocabulary. For Teachers interested in teaching ASL to their students, many of my resources will support all students in this time of remote learning and uncertainty.  The list will go on.
